Sadie Hawkins

We met at Jocelyn Chang's House and made pizzas, and then we went and took pictures at the high school.

After, we went and played Lazer Tag at Laserquest. The first game, Christian took second, and i took fifth (out of 25).The next time, we all decided to form an alliance, and no one did very good.

Then we went to the dance. There was rockband in the cafeteria, and so we played like one game, and then me, sean, stephanie and brandon went back to the dance. A half hour later, everyone else came to the dance, but Sean and I and Stephanie/Brandon were still like the only ones who danced.

Then we went back to our house, and make gingerbread (graham cracker) houses. Sean and I made an outhouse. It rocked.

Prince Chaming?

We had our winter sports assembly on Friday. They do this thing where you can ask for wishes for your friends and then they grant them at assemblies, and they always try to present them in a clever way, so this year, they brought out this golden retriever and it had wings attached to it. The two girls brought the dog out to the middle of the floor and told Prince to sit. When they thought he was sitting, they started talking, but i noticed that the dog wasn't really sitting... i told enrikson that my dog "sat" like that when she went to the bathroom, and sure enough... two giant logs of poop came out onto the middle of the gym floor. Everyone started freaking out, and the administrators didn't even try to stop everyone. Mr. Albrecht sat down on the couch and dug his head into the pillows and Mr. Anderson was super red in the face. At least three people around me were crying. Sadly, they didn't bring Prince out for any more wishes. :(

My Attempts at Art and Creativity

So this is how I asked to Sean to Sadie's. Unfortunately, a lot of the letters came off because he doesn't know how to solve one and so he barely understood the message by the time he finally got Payton to solve it for him. Ah well- i liked the idea a lot. He answered by giving me back my pillow and blanket that he had stolen about a month ago.

For Gianna's birthday, Stephanie and I took her to Color Me Mine. The venue was in North Seattle: Queen Anne. That is the cutest little town I've ever seen. I really liked it. The shop was really cute. Making them was really fun. Gianna and Stephanie both attempted to use a stencil, but they didn't really work. I started out really ambitious, but then realized the absurdity of my hopes, and settled with a goal much easier to obtain. However, I was really pleased with the result. Lesson. Tape=Good. Stencils=Bad.

For a couple years, I have been saving my movie stubs and dance pictures and some other random things, and I've been taping them onto my dresser. After this last dance, I finally ran out of room, so now i have to use the sides of my dresser. Not really that important, I realize, but i was very excited about it.
In graphic arts, we've been working on garage band music. Then we voted on the best one from each class. The person who won got a shirt. I didnt win. Mine was very musically organized, but it didnt have a lot of cool synthesizers, so i had no chance. However, my teacher loves me, and so she gave me a shirt anyways, although it didnt say winner on it. I proudly wore that tshirt for the ten minutes left of school.

Roadshow

So I found out there is going to be a 24 hour roadshow in January, and we need seven themes. I've never been in one, or have even seen one, so does anyone have ideas for themes?
thanks!

Date!

Last night i went on a date with Adriel Johnson. The other couples were Anders Bostrom and Kartina Slaugh and David Hinkley and Arielle Holmes. I was really excited to go, because all of those people are really fun. We first went to the Family Fun Center and played mini golf. It was fun, but I lost my ball somewhere along the course, because we stopped and took a bunch of pictures, and i forgot about it. Some lucky kid will pick it up probably. Katrina was going to Homecoming that night, so we took her to her friends house in Belluvue.
Then we went to their ward's Halloween Party. Their ward is able to do so much more stuff. At our parties, we have like face painting and that fish game, but they are actually allowed to have a spook alley. Some of the stuff was pretty scary. The young men were in charge, so I was the only girl in the alley (Arielle was an escort). I had borrowed a robe thing with a really big hood from Arielle that could cover my whole face and so i was in the last room. In my room was this jail thing they made, and the bars were made of rubbery stuff, but looked really solid. There was a kid in a gorilla suit and he would run around in the cell and then go through it and ran at the kids. It looked super freaky in the strobe light. The first group of kids were screaming through the entire thing, but then they went and told all of their friends, and so after that, when they came into that room, they would be like "Hi Gorilla Man, I Love You" to calm themselves down. I hid under a table and scared David twice, but didnt scare Adriel at all.

They had a break, and so the guys were fooling around in the gym, and Adriel did this cartwheel thing that went into a full back flip. It was crazy. I was talking to Anders at the time, and he was like "Its because he's a ninja". So then we did all of our human tricks, and i did the arm thing, and they all tried, and Adriel got super super close to doing it. I've never seen anyone else get that close. It was crazy.

After the party, we went to Adriels house and played DDR, and David's twin Jeff and another girl came over. (Jamie and Callie-- you would love his house, it's like completely Japanese, and thats all he and his mom speak.) We played spoons, and his mom fed us, and then we played Egyptian Ratscrew. Then they took us home. It was an extremely fun date.

My face in type.

In graphic arts, we had to re-draw our face, only using letters. It was hard because we had to keep manipulating the type. This is my completed project. I was supossed to use mainly letters, but i used mostly parentheses. ah well.

Freak Zone

I realize that up until now this blog spot has pretty much been the freak zone. Yes, that fact is hard to admit but I know that is true because people like you keep logging in to take a look. However, from now on I will be upgrading this area with some important information such as pictures of my dog, my favorite receipes for beefsteak tomotoes and Utah Jazz information as the season is starting soon.

Update....Finally

After several complaints, I have decided to update my blog.

This is one of my first graphic arts projects. I had to recreate my initials in a graphically-savvy way. My teacher really liked this one, and said it was extremely good for a first year. I resrew this with my mac. I'll put up a picture of my second project (re-creating my face with type (letters)) soon, a project i didnt like nearly as much.

School is really dragging right now. We are dicussing things in College English that i just cant really grasp. Spanish is WAY harder than i thought it was going to be. I really have to work hard in that class. An action totally new in that subject.

I really don't have much to say, since my life is basically the same every day.

Project Runway
I thought that last weeks episode really didnt show the designer's best work. I dont think Jerrell shoud've won, and Kenley definitely should've been out. She is rude to the judges and Tim Gunn and her work in the last couple challanges has been terrible. Leanne is my favorite, but i really like Korto as well.

The Office
I was sad that there wasnt an episode last week, but the seasoner was awesome. Definitely better than most of last year's episodes. It was super cute, obviously, when Jim proposed. I loved how he just kind of stared at her for a couple seconds. Pam's hair looked so cute.

Im excited to see Jonathon soon!! His pictures were extremely cute!

kind of pointless post- but hopefully they'll get better.

School

The first week of school is over. woot.
  1. Band--we've only played pep band stuff so far, so it's pretty boring, but I'm excited to start some new stuff.
  2. College English-- the first day of school we got assigned probably the hardest essay I've written in a short time. It was due the next day. We did an inschool write on Thursday and i got an 85%: which i was really happy because the average was 65%.
  3. US History-- a complete waste of time. and weirdly unfortunate that i have no other homework to do in this class (I'm not taking math) since its pretty apparent that we're not going to do anything. Today we spent 55 minutes drawing a picture of a clock.
  4. College Spanish-- love it. This will probably be my favorite class. We already had a three minute presentation on our summer without notes. I was really nervous, but i ended up getting 100. :)
  5. AP Music Theory-- This class is fun because we're learning a LOT everyday, but it's stuff that i already know. I like how the class is small too. Everyone is really fun.
  6. Graphic Arts-- We basically just play with mac's the whole class period. I really like garage band, but i really don't have any friends... at all. So it's nice that we can listen to iPods and stuff.

I cant upload pictures.

I haven't written in my blog for a month because i can't upload any pictures.

lame.

HMAC, Elle Woods, Girls Camp Meeting

My life is not nearly as interesting as everyone else's is. My summer is slightly cloudy at the moment.

Ive been working at Henry Moses Aquatic Center almost every day. I really like working there because its flexible and easy to make fun. Also another plus- this year i got a shirt that fits, so Im pretty happy about that. There are four rotations, front gate, the lazy river, the bottom of the slides and the top of the slides.

  • Front gate is fun when you are working with someone you are friends with, because almost nothing ever happens and so you just talk.
  • The Lazy River sucks. You gets wet, have to constantly be helping people get in and out of tubes and there's nothing to lean on. And you are in the direct sun.
  • The Bottom of the Slide is fun too. When there are a lot of people there, and you have to stop the line, then you get to talk to all the people waiting and ask them questions or have them do their talents. When no one is in line, you go over to where the kids come out of the slides, and pop out at the them and scream, and watch their reactions. That one thing has made many a day for me.
  • The Top of the Slides are fun too, becuase you can splash the people coming up the slides and going down the slides and i always make them answer a question before they can go down.

We watched the finale of Legally Blonde: The Search for Elle Woods last night. We knew that Rhiannon was going to be gone first, so it was down to Autumn and Bailey. I've liked bailey from the start. She has a cute accent that she does really well covering up. She looks and acts the part of Elle. Autumn has a better voice than Bailey but that's about it. She's nine years older and thinks that she deserves the part because of that. Autumn has always kind of acted a little snobby, but i did like it when she changed the questionaire into something positive. The girls performed three songs on the Broadway stage with sets, costumes, cast members and the orchestra. Baileys first song gave me the chills, while Autumns was just okay. They both wouldve been fine in the part but i was really happy to hear that Bailey won. I loved her encore when all the other girls showed up.
I felt bad for Autumn, but was happy to hear that she was the understudy. And that Lauren and Rhiannon got parts on the traveling team.

I just got back from our last Girls Camp Meeting. I'm so excited for camp. We basically just cut out the nametags, but Stser Shaw told us a lot about our specific duties at camp. Im really really excited!! These are some outfits that me and gianna got at value village yesterday. We had a lot of fun getting them, as rediculous as we look :)
